Crossroads

A big hi from India!

It's been a while since I connected with you all- sometimes I wish we could just have a huge group chat where we could all work out a time (even if it means some of us having to wake up in the dead of the night!) and get online. Oh well. It's just that there's so much to catch up about!

So here's a little update from my end of the world. My final year in school flew by as a flurry of homework, exams and general busy-ness. Summer holidays began in March and they've been absolutely wonderful. I'm sure you all know that happy feeling- waking up at ten in the morning with no plans for the day, lazing around, eating till you're stuffed and randomly flicking through tv channels or the pages of a book :)

May arrived all too soon and I graduated- I've been applying to several universities ever since. I see now that picking a college is not as easy at it looks! I guess what makes it so hard for me is knowing that this one choice will determine how I spend the next three or four years of my life.

World School has changed my outlook more than I imagined. Two years ago, if I was asked what criteria I would base my college decision on, my answer would have been the usual blah-blah of course content, faculty, good prospects on graduation etc. Not that I've dropped these standard considerations now- it's just that they've expanded to include so many others. For instance, I'm now looking for a multicultural peer group, opportunities for exchange programmes so I can travel and courses that give me international perspectives. I wonder if any of you who are already in uni felt the same way while making your decision!

I don't know where I'm headed next, but wherever it is, I hope to meet you all (or atleast as many of you as I can) in the future!

Miss you all!
Anu
